NEWS - Todd Farmer Reveals the Fate of Halloween 3D  | read this item

Todd Farmer’s latest insightful blog has come at an ideal time as just two days ago I emailed director Patrick Lussier about the rumours that he was to helm Halloween 3D. But what happened to their remake of I Saw What You Did, and why have they become involved in a franchise that really needs to be laid to rest once and for all? Anyone who has read an earlier draft of Jason X or saw last year’s My Bloody Valentine remake will already be familiar with Farmer’s dry wit and in my two previous interviews with him for magazines I was always amused by his sarcastic tongue. Finally, he has spoken out about both seemingly forgotten projects, as well as their latest collaboration, Drive Angry, at his official site.

My Bloody Valentine proved to be not only one of the most entertaining remakes in recent years but also one of the more effective 3D movies. Despite its relatively generic plot and predictability, it was gory, stylish and full of nice touches such as a naked chick with a gun and ‘80s legend Tom Atkins. Whilst Rob Zombie’s Halloween II had been the disaster most had expected, news of Lussier and Farmer teaming up once again for the third movie seemed like the exact break the series needed. But, alas, once again the studio ballsed up a good idea.

For some reason it’s taken every site (including this one) several days to catch onto this post, but those curious as to the fate of Halloween 3D should go check out the full article here.
