There always seems to be one movie people just can’t keep quiet about and the flavour of the month is Predators, Nimród Antal’s contribution to the long-running franchise.
Ignoring the existence of the Alien vs. Predators spin-offs, the movie – which was produced by cult filmmaker Robert Rodriguez – has been a regular fixture of movie sites for some time now (well, since The Wolf Man was released).
So far we have been treated to a poster and a behind-the-scenes video, but now a trailer has finally appeared online. IGN have the two-minute teaser (in glorious high-definition), that reveals Adrien Brody and a motley group of mercenaries on an alien world, who are picked off one-by-one down by the vicious hunter (Brody reveals that ‘This planet is a game preserve, and we are the game!’).
It’s hard to know what to expect from this movie. On the one hand, it could erase all memory of the abysmal AvP flicks, or it could prove to be another over-hyped and overblown disaster.

I hate to agree with that comment but after seeing the trailer I think you may be right.
Yeah I’m not really sold on it either. To me it looks like Alien vs. Predator but with a good(ish) cast.
I have to give this movie a chance. Ever since AvP was released, I have said that Fox needed to make another Predator movie. The first movies were awesome! Yes, I like the second as well.
So, I am hoping this lives up to some of the hype.
I’m with you on the second, I did a double bill last weekend and they’re both classics in their own right. I just hope this time round they take more from the earlier films than AvP. But Rodriguez claims to have been a fan and wanted to make this for years so fingers crossed.
Jesus Christ,im going to put the lottery numbers on right now! I used to tell my schoolmates (circa 1989) that a sequel to Predator was due out called PREDATORS in which a group of mercaneries were on the Predator`s home planet.Of course it was all lies and next came Predator 2 which was tolerable in my eyes but no great shakes.This though,my predicted synopsis, seems to smell bad…am i correct in thinking Laurence Fishburne is going to be in this? I sincerely hope this aint gonna be crap…cos i really REALLY love the original…Altogether now “YOURE ONE UGLY MOTHERFUCKER”
