Predators: is it a remake, sequel, prequel or what? Whatever way you look at it, the collaboration between producer Robert Rodriguez and director Nimród Antal has fans eager to see what new direction the franchise will take after the truly awful Alien vs. Predator sagas.
The flick, set for release by Twentieth Century-Fox on July 7, boasts an impressive cast that includes Danny Trejo (From Dusk Till Dawn), Adrien Brody (Giallo) and Derek Mears (Friday the 13th).
Arriving twenty years after Predator 2, the scripted was co-written by Rodriguez and Michael Finch and Alex Litvak.

Fingers crossed for this one
Isn’t Laurence Fishburne in it too?
Yes that is true. This was from a piece published on MTV’s blog last Wednesday:
- The actor described a large jungle set known as the Hunting Camp, a primary setting for much of the film’s run time.
“[Everyone] is suddenly abducted and dropped on the Hunting Camp, so they’re not aware of where they are or why they were dropped there,” revealed Changchien. “They all gradually become aware of the situation and surroundings.”
According to [Louis Ozawa] Changchien, Fishburne’s character Noland has survived for ten years on the alien planet by living in a cave, demonstrating equal proficiency as a fighter and as an escaper.
“It’s a really interesting role, quite different from Morpheus [from 'The Matrix'],” described the actor. “A bit shady, crazy, surviving on his own, kind of a ratty character. I didn’t know anything about his role, and we all went to see the rehearsal. It was quite a surprise.” -
Sounds like it could actually be ok. Let’s hope eh..
