Having gone from promising child star to rehab trainwreck in just a few short years, former Hollywood beauty Lindsay Lohan is set to take the next step in reinventing her career: by going topless for her next role. Having already played a stripper in the ill-fated thriller I Know Who Killed Me (although the director went for a more subtle approach), Lohan’s appearance in the upcoming exploitation flick Machete is rumoured to see her show her breasts on screen for the first time.

Based on the faux trailer created for the 2007 double feature Grindhouse (which, ironically, also featured Rose McGowan as a stripper), Machete is director Robert Rodriguez’s latest flick whilst fans wait for a Sin City sequel. His big budget spin-off will also star Danny Trejo (who portrayed the eponymous role in the original trailer), Resident Evil’s Michelle Rodriguez, Sin City’s Jessica Alba and screen legend Robert De Niro, but it seems that fans have a new reason to check out the movie.

Hollywood Life have revealed the news on Lohan’s nude scene, stating that ‘Not only will the 22-year-old actress go topless as gun-toting socialite April Benz in Robert Rodriguez’s new action flick, Machete, but she goes skinny-dipping with her on-screen mom.’

The site then goes on to add ‘HollywoodLife.com got a hold of the original Machete script, and as of now, Lindsay – who has about 10 minutes of screen time as gun-toting socialite April Benz – is slated to get wet and naked while swimming in a waterfall with Alicia Rachel Marek, 34, who plays her mother, June.’

Fans can check out her talent for themselves when the movie is released on April 16.
