The first effortlessly blended Samurai and blaxploitation, the second mixed the western with pretentious philosophies, but ever since the release of Kill Bill: Vol. 2 back in 2004 fans have been wanting to know if The Bride would return.
According to writer-director Quentin Tarantino (recently Oscar nominated for his latest epic, Inglorious Basterds), he would like to make a third film but not for a few more years.
Yet Daryl Hannah, who portrayed the one-eyed assassin Elle Driver in both movies, has hinted that her character will return for the next movie.
Despite having her one remaining eye removed by Uma Thurman’s claw whilst fighting in a trailer home, viewers only assumed that Elle had eventually bled to death.
‘Think about it. There’s always been a tradition of blind Samurais and you never actually saw her expire in the other film,’ Hannah has revealed to Film24. ‘He always meant it as a trilogy,’ she concludes, with regards to Tarantino’s original intentions for Kill Bill.
IMDb currently has Kill Bill: Vol. 3 listed as 2014, but when are they ever right?!
She was a bitch. My kinda woman!
